5-Day Neurotoxin Injection & Filler Fundamental Premiere Course

This course is designed for medical professionals and advanced practice aestheticians who wish to learn the fundamentals of injecting dermal fillers and neurotoxins such as BOTOX Cosmetic, Dysport, Xeomin, and Jeuveau. Get the information you need to confidently add aesthetic treatments to your practice.

Prerequisites: Our program is offered to healthcare professionals (RN, APRN, PA, MD, DDS, DMD) and advanced practice aestheticians (AP).

2-Day Filler Fundamental Course

Class for medical professionals and advanced practice aestheticians covering the fundamentals of dermal fillers (Voluma®, Juvederm Ultra Plus®, Juvederm Ultra®, Restylane®, Lyft, Contour, Defyne, Refyne, Kysse, Versa). You will walk away from this training with the skills and information necessary to immediately begin offering fillers to treat cosmetic concerns such as the midface volume loss, nasolabial folds, lips, and marionette lines.

Prerequisites: Our program is offered to healthcare professionals (RN, APRN, PA, MD, DDS, DMD) and advanced practice aestheticians (AP).

2-Day Neurotoxin Training

Class includes didactic instruction, observation, and hands-on experience with neurotoxins (brand names include BOTOX® Cosmetic, Dysport®, Xeomin®, and Jeuveau®). This course is intended for advanced practice aestheticians and healthcare professionals. You will walk away from this training with the knowledge and self-assurance to instantly implement this aesthetic treatment into your practice.

Kristen has been a Registered Nurse for over 21 years, and she is a firm believer that it is just as vital to care for oneself as it is to care for others. She has years of experience as an injector, and she takes great satisfaction in the natural and healthy appearance that she is able to assist her clients to achieve.

Because of her enthusiasm for the scientific aspects of nursing as well as the artistic aspects of injection, she genuinely enjoys assisting patients in becoming their best selves, both on the inside and the outside.

Prerequisite and Career Opportunities For Injection Specialists

A certified injection specialist is a licensed professional who specializes in providing aesthetic beauty therapies such as neurotoxin injections and dermal fillers. 

Some of the responsibilities of this position include:

  • In-depth discussions with patients about numerous aesthetic solutions to reach their desired results.
  • Injecting neurotoxins and filler.
  • Providing the patient with pertinent information regarding the procedure and potential negative effects of the product being used.
  • Following up with patients.
  • Providing Individualized patient care plans.
  • Making recommendations.

What kind of experience/credentials are required?

Specific to nurses or aspiring nurses:

Although some criteria will differ by jurisdiction, the online job site RegisteredNursing.org explains some of the required experience and credentials for a career as a Certified Aesthetic Nurse injector (CANS). Look at this:

  • Get your BSN.
  • Take and pass the NCLEX-RN exam.
  • In the recent two years, you must have completed at least 1,000 hours in core competency specializations (this may vary by state).
  • Have a minimum of two years of nursing experience with a board-certified physician in a core specialty such as Plastic/Aesthetic Surgery, Ophthalmology, Dermatology, or Facial Plastic Surgery in the approved four core competencies (this may vary by state).
  • A supervising core physician must sign off on the applicant’s application. Again, this varies by state.
  • Although this stage is not always essential, it might greatly assist you in obtaining credentials from the Plastic Surgical Nursing Certification Board.
