This Open Studio is your exclusive access point to bridge the gap between competence and mastery. During this five hour window (10:00 AM – 3:00 PM), you will work on a real client in a professional academy setting, benefiting from direct, real-time coaching from a Licensed Lash Instructor (the kind who are also salon owners!).
Use this time to troubleshoot retention issues, perfect your Volume fans, or refine your advanced styling maps, or whatever else you are working on!

Andi LaBuhn
Andi is an Educator and Manager at Minnesota Brow and Lash Academy and Esthetician + Laser Technician at Beauty Pros Medspa. She specializes in result-oriented treatments for her clients and truly sees the beauty in each of her clients faces along their journey to healthy beautiful skin and lashes! She is an Advanced Practice Esthetician Educator and Advanced Practice Esthetician Salon Manager. She has been in the beauty industry since 2006 and offers over 20 years of experience in Practice, Education and training.
Lynn Schuster
Lynn is a licensed educator, teaching courses both in person and virtually. She is an open book resource mentoring trainees and alumni. Lynn is a frequent member of board meetings as subject matter expert, advocating on behalf of licensees in the eyelash and brow cosmetology beauty industry.

Minnesota Brow Lash & Medspa Academy LLC is a licensed private career school with the Minnesota Office of Higher Education pursuant to Minnesota Statutes, sections 136A.821 to 136A.832. Licensure is not an endorsement of the institution. In some cases, credits earned at the institution may not transfer to other institutions (varies by institution).
Minnesota Brow Lash & Medspa Academy LLC is cutting edge in technique and technology career school. Our Minneapolis, Minnesota training facility offers state of the art equipment and highly skilled staff to teach you the newest trends in the Beauty Industry. Specifically, Permanent Makeup, Microblading, Eyelash Extensions, Plasma Treatment, Laser Treatment, Esthetic and Advanced Esthetic.
In addition, we are licensed under the Minnesota Board of Cosmetology, license #22001519. We offer several cosmetology fundamental courses for eyelash extensions and esthetic training. We also offer BCE approved continuing education courses for licensure renewal.
Minnesota Brow Lash & Medspa Academy is also a licensed Body Art Facility under the Health Department. Our on-site staff Training Master is a certified Craft Master. At Minnesota Brow Lash & Medspa Academy, we offer both online/virtual training programs as well as our hands-on, on site training programs to accommodate your schedule and needs.

This 5-hour session (10:00 AM – 3:00 PM) is for licensed MN Brow Lash alumni only.
- You are required to bring your own lash kit, products, and a live model.
- The instructor will coach and supervise your work.
- A $50.00 fee covers the rental of your dedicated station (table, lamp, cart, disinfectants) and instructor supervision. Any payment arrangement for the lash service is between you and your model.
Investment:
The non-refundable $50.00 fee covers the rental of your professional station (table, lamp, side cart, etc.) and direct instructor supervision. It’s a small investment for 5 hours of high-level mentorship. You are responsible for bringing your own lash kit and a model. Note: Any payment for the model’s service is managed entirely by you, the stylist.

Prerequisites
If you are not licensed by the MN Board Of Cosmetology (BCE) then you are required to take a minimum 14 Hour Basics Course to get your certification. Individuals must be 18 years of age or older.
Licensing
If you are not licensed by the MN Board Of Cosmetology (BCE) then you are required to take a 14 Hour Basic Course to get your certification. This is your first step to becoming licensed as an Eyelash Extension Technician. Once you pass your course, you will do your written/State testing for your license. Your Course includes a full training manual including your Laws and Rules and a Full Kit and a practice mannequin head.
Where do I take the written exams? How do I study for them?
All written exams and instructor exams are taken in person at a PSI testing center. Contact PSI at 1-800-733-9267 or www.psiexams.com to schedule. Exam fees are set by PSI and are not included in license fees or school tuition. Below is the pricing set by PSI Exams and are paid to PSI Exams, these fees are not a part of the Academy.

After Course Certification and info
If you feel you would like additional time- please register for another session of Open Studio Time, we will offer this option for our lash graduates several time a year
Payment Plan
Students will need to pay $50 upon registration in order to secure their spot for the Open Studio time with an instructor

Salary range: The average Lash Stylist salary in the USA is $50,000 per year or $25.64 per hour. Entry level positions start at $21,158 per year while most experienced workers make up to $68,250 per year. It is not uncommon for seasoned stylists with full clientele to earn beyond that.
As a school, we have opportunities to extend to our students for bed rentals, suite rentals and other business professionals will often reach out about rental & employment opportunities as well.
